Student Growth Yes! its due

Hello Everyone

So it's that time of the year here in the state of Washington when all Artifacts and Evidence that we as educators we have met the goals we set out to achieve from the Fall.

What it looks like so far....

Many teachers I have worked with have received ideas and items that i would like to see in way of artifacts because, i want to be certain that I am accurately rating the teachers work and performance.

Items I have come up with to guide and help teacher's through this process

I created a form with all the areas of the framework and at the post conference the teacher and I have conversation on where they are in terms of what i have observed and what they need to bring in terms of evidence if they would like to be at a certain rating.

I also scheduled an additional meeting to have a conversation around where the teacher is in terms of achievement of their goal (s) and what support they need from me as their evaluator to met their goal.  This is also a time i give feedback to assist the teacher and prep them for their final evaluation meeting.

FEEDBACK
This year I found much success and made the final evaluations less work for my staff by giving them feedback consistently throughout the school year this was done in writing and a follow up email to ensure that teachers knew they would see this information during the evaluation process and i also kept binders on each staff member, this was great for conversations around growth and achievement of the teachers goals.

I also took the time to watch webinars to be consistant with other districts around the country that were using the Danielson as their framework.
